Who wrote this
A short page, because the point of the site is the other pages. Here is who is behind it and what that should and should not mean to you.
The author
Gravity is written and reviewed by Masoud Saman, MD, a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon whose practice is limited to the face and neck. Training: otolaryngology, head and neck surgery residency, followed by fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Certification: the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
The disclosure
The author performs facelift surgery and is paid to do so. That is a conflict of interest and it is stated here rather than left to be inferred. The site is designed to be useful whether or not you ever see the author: it contains no before and after photographs, no testimonials, no outcome claims, and no booking path on the homepage. If you want a consultation with the author's practice, use the practice link below. Gravity also links to AesthetiFact.ai, an aesthetic evidence project founded by the author. These related interests are disclosed so readers can assess the content in context.
How pages are reviewed
- Guide pages identify the author. Review dates should be added only after the specific version has undergone physician review.
- The risks page describes complications without unsupported percentage estimates. Numeric claims should identify their source, population and relevant limitations.
- Review dates describe a specific reviewed version, not the date of a design update. New or substantially revised medical copy requires physician review before a new review date is assigned.
- Corrections are welcome. If something here is wrong, say so.
Editorial rules the site follows
- No before and after photographs anywhere.
- No testimonials and no outcome claims.
- Links to the author’s practice and AesthetiFact.ai carry an ownership disclosure. External evidence tools do not replace individualized medical advice.
- Recovery is never minimized.
- No superlatives about a face or a result.
- "Facial plastic surgeon" and "plastic surgeon" are never used interchangeably.
What the site does not do
It does not diagnose, it does not replace a consultation, and it does not know anything about you. The consultation brief organizes questions and practical considerations. It does not score health, recommend an operation or determine candidacy. Answers stay in the current page unless you choose to download or print them. If you are in distress about your appearance, a conversation with a doctor you already trust is a better next step than any web page, including this one.
